Cream together sugar and butter.

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each.

Add the milk and vanilla and mix well.

Combine flour, soda and baking powder alternately with the mashed bananas.

Mix well.

Fold in pecans.
- 7
Pour into cake pans that have been greased and floured.

Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

Ice with butter cream icing and slice bananas between layers.
