Mix sugar, milk and butter.

Mix well.

Add eggs, one at a time, and mix well.

Add the mashed sweet potatoes.

Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and add to the mix.

Stir in pecans.

Pour into loaf pans and bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until tester comes out clean.
